# Introduction

> What DiscordMute is and how its two parts work together.

DiscordMute keeps your Discord voice channel in sync with an Among Us round. It is made of two pieces you install together:

- **The plugin** (`DiscordMute.dll`) runs inside Among Us through BepInEx and reports lobby and game events.
- **The bot** is a Discord bot that mutes and unmutes people in the voice channel the lobby host sits in.

## What happens in a game

- During tasks everyone in the host's voice channel is muted.
- In meetings the living players are unmuted. Dead players stay muted.
- The bot unmutes the players it muted itself after a crash or restart.
